How to identify fabrics

1. Pure cotton cloth:

The cloth has soft luster, soft feel, poor elasticity and easy to wrinkle.

Press the cloth tightly with your hand and loosen it. It is obvious that the crease is not easy to recover.

Take out several warp and weft yarns from the selvage and twist them to see that the length of the fiber is different.

2. Viscose cotton cloth (including rayon and rich fiber cloth):

The cloth surface has soft and bright luster, bright color, smooth and smooth, soft feel and poor elasticity.

Press the cloth tightly with your hand and loosen it. Obvious creases can be seen, and the creases are not easy to recover.

3. Polyester cotton cloth:

The luster is brighter than pure cotton cloth, the cloth surface is flat, clean and free of lint or impurities.

It feels smooth and crisp, and its elasticity is better than pure cotton.

When the cloth is loosened after being pinched tightly, the crease is not obvious and it is easy to recover.

4. Pure wool worsted fabric:

The surface of the fabric is smooth and smooth, and the texture is fine and clear.

The luster is soft and natural, and the color is pure.

It feels soft and elastic. Press the cloth tightly with your hand to loosen it, and the crease is not obvious, and it can quickly recover to its original state.

Most of the yarn counts are double.

5. Pure wool woolen cloth:

The dough is plump and dense in texture. The surface is fine and dense, and the texture is generally not exposed. It feels warm, plump and elastic. The yarn is mostly coarse count single yarn.

6. Wool/polyester blended fabric:

The appearance has pure wool fabric style.

The fabric texture is clear, flat and smooth, and the handle is not as soft as pure wool fabric. It has a stiff and rough feel, and its elasticity is more than that of pure wool and wool viscose fabric.

Press the cloth tightly with your hand and release it, and the crease will quickly return to its original state.

7. Wool-nitrile blended fabric:

Most of them are worsted.

Strong wool feeling, with wool style and warmth.

The elasticity is not as good as wool and polyester.

8. Wool and nylon blended fabric:

The cloth surface is flat, with strong wool feeling, waxy luster in appearance, and hard handle.

After pressing the cloth tightly, it will loosen and have obvious creases, which can slowly recover to its original state.

9. Real silk:

The silk surface is smooth, fine and clean, with soft luster and bright and pure color.

It feels smooth, soft and elegant.

In dry conditions, there is a sense of pulling when touching the silk surface, and there is a "silk ring" when tearing.

10. Viscose silk fabric (rayon):

The silk surface is bright but not soft, bright in color, smooth in hand, soft and draping, but not as light and elegant as real silk.

The silk surface is loosened after being pinched by hand, with creases and slow recovery.

The sound is hoarse when tearing. The warp and weft yarns are easy to break after being wetted by water.

What are the characteristics of cotton cloth?

(1) It has good moisture absorption and breathability, and is comfortable to wear; (2) Soft feel, soft luster and simple; (3) Good thermal insulation and excellent wearing performance; (4) Good dyeing property, bright color, complete chromatography, but not good color fastness; (5) Alkali-resistant and acid-resistant. Concentrated alkali treatment can round the fiber section in the fabric, thus improving the luster of the fabric, that is, mercerizing (6) Good light fastness, but long-term exposure will cause fading and strength reduction; (7) Poor elasticity, easy to produce wrinkles and creases are not easy to recover; (8) Pure cotton fabric is easy to mildew and deteriorate, but it is moth-resistant.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of polyester fabric

Advantage: 1. Good elasticity, no deformation. This is also the biggest advantage of polyester fabric. Because the fiber material used in polyester fabric has very good resilience to deformation such as elongation, compression and bending, which can be said to be very close to wool. Moreover, because the rigidity of fiber macromolecular chain is relatively large, its elastic modulus is relatively high, and there will be no deformation. So polyester fabric will not find wrinkles after washing, so it is very suitable for use on curtains.

Difference between twill cloth and plain cloth

1. Different patterns: plain cloth is interwoven up and down, and the front and back are the same; Twill fabric is woven from two or three upper and lower layers. The front side is left or right twill fabric, and the back side is not twill.
